Ellie Johnson is President of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties. A Manhattan real estate veteran with rich global experience, Johnson is responsible for launching the brand's first-ever New York City office. As president of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties, Ellie will protect and preserve the reputation of the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices brand by recruiting and nurturing agents who are aligned with the company's core values of integrity and service to all clients. Leveraging her New York City knowledge and associations, she will be focused on the brokerage's long-term growth and expansion efforts.
Ellie joins Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices after 11 years at Sotheby's International Realty, Inc., where she managed the network's Upper East Side New York office to perennial sales-volume leadership. During her tenure, she received the NRT President's Council Award for 10 years and earned an admired reputation as a highly skilled manager fueled by a steadfast dedication to cultivating talent, locally and abroad as a key player in the organization's global expansion and becoming the model office that all international affiliates aspired to.
Ellie began her real estate career in 1993 after honing her management and sales skills in the hospitality industry. In her first year, she sold 14 homes in the San Francisco Bay Area and was named Rookie of the Year. Ellie relocated to New York City in 2000, where she joined a real estate company as its relocation director and subsequently built her own successful firm. She is an active member of REBNY, an elected member of both NYRS's Board of Advisors and Ethics Committee; and frequently called upon to share her deep industry insights at events and panels. In addition to New York, Ellie is a licensed real estate broker in California and Connecticut.
