Marlene first entered residential real estate sales in the early eighties with The Corcoran Group when conversions of rental buildings in Manhattan to co-operative ownership was prevalent. The market was very active with buying and selling from which she gained excellent experience working with buyers and sellers. Also, there was no cell phone or computer usage then. This, too, was very good training for her and she realizes and practices the importance of maintaining personal contact with clients for clear communication, paying attention to detail and excellent record keeping.
Marlene's residential market knowledge enables her to advise and guide her clients through all aspects of buying and selling residential properties. Her clients have always praised her highly and referred her to others because of her knowledge of the market, constant research, listening well and staying focused on their parameters thereby achieving success. Marlene brings a complementary professional knowledge of interior design to her real estate sales experience enabling her to analyze floor and architectural plans and has an excellent eye for the fit and placement of furniture.
Pursuing her interest in and love of music, Marlene enjoys playing the piano, has been a student at the Juilliard Evening Division for 10 years and is a longtime subscriber to Carnegie Hall. For fun and recreation in Manhattan, Marlene is a member of the New York Croquet Club that has a private court in Central Park. She is a strong supporter of the Central Park Conservancy. Marlene is a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. She is in the one percent of the agents in North America who have earned the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) Designation.
