We were renting an apartment in New Rochelle as a pied-a-terre to be closer to our first grandchild. We unexpectedly became his full-time daycare when our daughter went back to work. We spent so much time in Westchester that we decided to buy an apartment. We fell in love with Larchmont and decided that was where we wanted to be. We had several months left on our lease and could not actively look, but we did walk around the neighborhood to see where some buildings were located. We passed a Berkshire Hathaway office and, on a whim, went in. We had the good fortune of meeting Hector Cabrera! Hector knew an apartment in that building was about to come on the market the following week. We looked at it on day one and made an offer that was accepted. Hector was in constant communication with us and was there every step of the way to guide us through various stages of the negotiation. His experience was evident when filling out the application for condo board approval. This required Hector to communicate with the property manager for several weeks to straighten some things out. We had many questions along the way, and Hector was always highly responsive and knowledgeable. Hector is patient, caring, and a genuinely nice guy. He found us our needle in a haystack!
